Gearing up for the BIG FAT GUATEMALAN birthday!

Cecilia turns 2 on July 14th. I was so disappointed that I missed her first birthday. I thought we would have her home by her Baker's Dozen birthday (13 month for those who dont know what a Baker's Dozen is :-) but that didn't happen either. We are going to have a BIG FAT GUATEMALAN birthday next month to celebrate two years worth of birthdays. Mark your calendars - it is Saturday, July 11th!

Yesterday we went to Cecilia's friend, Melissa's birthday party. Melissa had a pinata and 'all things Barbie.' Cecilia was in all of her glory when it was pinata time. She was all about beating it with a baseball bat. On a positive note... she knows what to do when it is her birthday. On a negative and realistic note... she thinks she has a license to beat anything with a bat-like object now.
