Not too terribly much new here. Cecilia is hit or miss these days. She definitely does not want any affection. Yesterday in church, this sweet little lady stopped by to oogle over her and got a little too close. Cecilia "swatted" her away almost wacking the lady in the face. The last time she kissed me was when I had my eyes closed praying and she leaned over and kissed my nose. It was more of an effort to get me to open up my eyes than anything. In addition to the no affection rule, she has become "mean." We have no idea what she is saying but she yells at people and objects and hits. Any thoughts or advice on this???
Our weekend was a flutter of activity with family in from New York to visit. I tried to get some good shots of Ceci but she was non cooperative. Cousin Ashley did manage to get some of her performing though. No pictures of her and Ashley because Ashley never got dressed - she did have clothes on - monkey pj's.
Here she is with Nick's "friend" Rocio

Sounds to me as if your little angel has made it to the terrible twos. Hold on momma!!! It's going to be a wild ride.
Seriously though, Lili does some of the same things. When she tries hits at someone or tries to pinch (yes, she pinches), we tell her nice hands and model the nice hands behavior for her by softly rubbing her arms, hair or giving her a gentle hug. If she begins to scream and throw hissy fits, we remove her from the area and then put her on the floor and let her know that she can come back when she is done with the fit. She is quickly learning that her unfavorable behaviors are not getting her the attention she wants. Of course about the time we think we've gotten somewhere she displays something new :-) What an awesome age!!!!
your little princess is as adorable as ever! sometimes we have to put ourselves in the shoes of a two year old - no small feat - or really small feet!!! - but life is a big challenge. you can take it on together!
We are in such a similar situation with our Cecilia (it must be in the name and age.) If I remeber with Julia, this was such a tough age because she understood more than she could talk about. Her language was really delayed (our Cecilia's is not), so the only way she could get attention was to be "mean." She grew out of it once she had bunches more words to tell me what shew as thinking. One of the things we have had luck with for Cecilia is to narrate what we think she might be feeling "Cecilia, I bet you are really frustrated that Julia took your toy" or "you must be hungry and it must be hard waiting for your food."
