Teardrops

Talked to the agency again today regarding the situation. Our lawyer was at PGN just yesterday asking for an interview date. She has been in contact with Cecilia's birth mother who wants to be interviewed and quickly. I imagine this whole experience is gut-renching for all involved... foster moms, children and birthmothers, oh wait... and adoptive parents, too.

Our lawyer said PGN was a fiasco when she was there. One lawyer there was trying to pass off one woman as the birthmother to 5 different children. Is he a complete idiot??? This is BAD... what it means is that these children are stolen or abondoned and they want to get the case through. Also, this means that 5 families will not get the children they worked so hard for.

At the end of the conversation, our coordinator said that Cecilia's birthmother commented that in addition to the + DNA match, her and Cecilia have identical birth marks at the same location on their necks. It brought tears to my eyes, Cecilia's birthmark is in the shape of... you guessed it... a teardrop.

Emily - you are at the top of my prayer list. these birthmothers have had the most difficult decision made in their hearts, and i hope people/PGN is understanding of those who genuinely chose to give their children to another family. my heart goes out to you.

This is all such a mess. I am praying that this all comes to a positive completion soon, for all of our sakes!

What a sweet memory for Cecilia to have of her birth mother. How appropriate for it to be in the shape of a teardrop. My thoughts are with you as we wait for this PGN fiasco to end.
