I really wish I could devote more time to writing about what is going on with us. Our summer (our fall, winter, spring, too) was action packed. We wrapped up the summer with the Grange Fair which Cecilia loved! We slept at the tent all but 2 nights. She loved the port-a-potty because there is a urinal that you can stick your hand in and lots of gross things to touch. WHY?!? What do kids have to be interested in this kind of stuff? At the fair, Cecilia won a gold fish. We brought him home, nursed him back to life, named him Dorothy, had "monitored" feedings, cleaned his bowl, gave him lots of love and attention and then... poof, he was gone. We came home the other day and there he was, dried and laying beside his bowl. God rest his soul. We said a prayer and buried him outside. We talked about how he was having a great time and swimming very fast, not paying attention and jumped out and because he did not have feet, he was not able to climb back in.
Our older neighbors, Dick and Betty, had a HUGE camper parked in their lawn the other day. I said, "Wow... Dick and Betty have company, wonder who it is?" Scott replied, "It must be Jesus because it says JESUS CHRIST in big letter on their truck." Cecilia said, "I want to stop and see him!" Since then, stopping to see Jesus is ALL SHE TALKS ABOUT! We'll let you know how that works out for her.
