Baby Got New Boots... Weekend Recap

Cecilia is bound and determined that she is going to the barn to walk through the mud and puddles. It all starts out with an 'innocent' trip to cows and then she tries every stategy under the sun to make her way to the mess. She's a smart one all right.

On Friday, we spent some quality time with Auntie Pen. We visted the Amish shoe shop and discovered the cutest boots which we just had to buy. Cecilia is in LOVE with her boots! Here she is headed out to the barn with Auntie Pen (notice the Guatemalan purse which she snagged on our pickup trip)...

Friday afternoon we went over to see Mavis get ready for her senior prom. Cecilia adores Mavis and Mavis her. Here she is with Mavis and Aunt Janell...

And it would not have been complete without a picture of Cecilia, Mavis and Luke.

Today after the BIG nap, we took a walk up to the ridge. Ceci had to wear the boots. Here she is squatting for me to take her picture.

We called Cecilia's foster mom, Mama Isabel, today. She was thrilled to hear from us and we talked with Ceci's sister and brother, too. Oscar (her brother) was so sweet and asked me several time to give her a kiss for him. Of course when we want her to, Cecilia absoulutely refused to talk to any of them. I know they all were disappointed. Cecilia was their 25th and final child and the adored her.

Also in our thoughts today is Mama Maria, Cecilia's first mother. I know that she was thinking about us, too. God bless her!
